ALWAYS THE RIGHT FOOD
At SONNENBERG.BERLIN we have carefully selected and curated our food range to meet the individual nutritional needs of dogs and cats. Our goal is a natural, wholesome diet that avoids nutritional deficiencies in the long term. Before we accept a product, we test it thoroughly to ensure that it meets our high standards and that the food actually contains what the manufacturer promises. In this way, we offer your pet a healthy diet that can contribute to better well-being and a healthy appearance.
We are happy to advise you on how to deal with allergies and intolerances, as well as on health topics such as pancreatic and kidney insufficiency. We are neither veterinarians nor therapists and do not replace veterinary treatment. A diet tailored to your pet can, however, support veterinary treatment. Please feel free to contact us.
Frequently asked questions about FOOD & SNACKS
What criteria do you use to select the food?
We select our food range carefully and curate it for the different nutritional needs of dogs and cats. Our goal is a natural and nutritionally complete diet that avoids deficiencies in the long term. Natural ingredients in food-grade quality and a complete declaration of the composition are important to us. We therefore do not want to offer products whose declaration uses collective terms such as "meat and animal by-products". We prefer to include products from small manufacturers, because they work close to the product and we particularly trust them. Before we add a product, we examine it thoroughly and make sure that the food lives up to what the manufacturer promises.
What types of food are there, and is there food for puppies and cats as well?
At SONNENBERG.BERLIN you will find food and snacks for dogs and cats. The range includes wet and dry food, snacks and chews, vegetable and fruit flakes, and nutritional supplements. For puppies there is dedicated puppy food, and for cats there are dedicated cat food and cat snacks. The subcategories help you find the right product for your pet.
Which food is suitable for allergies or intolerances?
For allergies and intolerances, monoprotein recipes are often suitable. They contain only a single animal protein source, so it is easy to understand what is being fed. With us you will generally find only monoprotein food. Many products are also grain-free, and there are pure-meat and sensitive lines for animals with special needs. Which variety is tolerated in an individual case can differ from animal to animal. We are happy to advise you on the selection, but we do not replace a veterinary examination.
Do you also advise on health issues?
Yes, we are happy to advise you on nutrition for allergies and intolerances as well as on health topics such as pancreatic and kidney insufficiency. We are neither veterinarians nor therapists and do not replace veterinary treatment. A diet tailored to your pet can, however, support veterinary treatment. You can reach us at service@sonnenberg.berlin or by phone at +49 30 88709640.
What is the difference between complete pet food, complementary pet food and single-ingredient feed?
Complete pet food is composed so that it is sufficient for the daily ration and can be fed as the only source of food. Complementary pet food is intended to supplement the daily ration and is not sufficient on its own. Single-ingredient feed consists of only one raw material, for example vegetable or fruit flakes, and is added to other food or meat. You can find the classification of a product in the respective product description.
