Our house brand EDELBEISS forms the core of our curated food range. The chews and snacks for dogs and cats are naturally preserved by drying. No preservatives or similar are used in the production. This means that the snacks are absolutely healthy and can be fed without any concerns.
The raw materials are freshly processed in southern Germany and carefully dried in special drying ovens for up to 48 hours. This is up to 4 times longer than conventional chewing goods. These long drying times mean that very little residual moisture remains in the product. This means that the snacks not only have a natural best-before date of up to 24 months, but they are also odorless. This leads to the unique quality of EDELBEISS snacks, which you can see and smell and your beloved four legged friend can taste.

SUITABLE FOR ALLERGY SUFFERERS
All EDELBEISS chews are monoprotein. No protein sources are mixed in one snack and we try to offer as many different protein sources as possible. In addition, the chews are completely grain-free. This means that what is being fed is known at all times and dogs with allergy problems and intolerances can also find their favorite snack in our range.
NATURAL DENTAL CARE
Active dental care through chewing can help to remove plaque naturally. This works with particularly hard chews such as bull pizzles, hides or tendons. Even the youngest dogs can practice their chewing skills with softer lamb ears or rabbit ears.

Do EDELBEISS chews contain preservatives, additives or grains?
No. EDELBEISS chews contain no preservatives and no other additives. They are grain-free, sugar-free and free of attractants and fillers. They are preserved solely by gentle drying for up to 48 hours. The hand-baked biscuits contain easily digestible grains such as spelt or oats, likewise without preservatives and without other additives.
Where does the meat come from, and how are EDELBEISS snacks made?
EDELBEISS snacks are produced in southern Germany. The meat comes from good animal husbandry in the region and is processed fresh, and the fish comes from the Baltic Sea off Latvia. It is then gently dried in special drying ovens for up to 48 hours until only very little residual moisture remains. That is up to four times longer than conventional chews.
Which EDELBEISS snacks are suitable for dogs with allergies or intolerances?
All EDELBEISS chews are monoprotein. That means each snack contains only a single protein source, and different varieties are never mixed. This way it is always clear what is being fed. In addition, the chews are grain-free. For dogs with food allergies or intolerances there are therefore suitable alternatives made from beef, poultry, lamb and goat, game, horse and fish.
Are EDELBEISS snacks also suitable for cats?
Yes. Since all EDELBEISS chews are made of meat or fish, cats may generally eat them as well. It is only important that cats are not given bones, for example no poultry necks. Because many cats have little interest in hard chews, soft snacks that are easy to bite are particularly suitable. The soft Berliner Wurst is very popular. Beef Lung Chunks, Beef Heart Minis and Chicken Breast Minis are also often well received, and some cats even like Rabbit Ears. What tastes best differs from cat to cat.
How long do EDELBEISS snacks keep, and how should I store them?
The dried EDELBEISS chews have a best-before date of up to 24 months when stored dry and at room temperature. They do without preservatives entirely, because gentle drying leaves only very little residual moisture in the snack. The Berliner Wurst also has a best-before date of up to 24 months. Once cut open, it belongs in the refrigerator and should be fed within 14 days. For the hand-baked biscuits, the best-before date is up to 12 months.

EDELBEISS chews hardly smell because two things come together. They are gently dried for up to 48 hours, up to four times longer than conventional chews, and therefore retain only very little residual moisture. In addition, they are not fumigated with chlorine or sulfur, as is often the case with imported chews during shipping. The result is a natural, mild scent of their own.
How many EDELBEISS chews can a dog have per day?
EDELBEISS chews are a snack between meals and do not replace a meal. How many are appropriate depends on the dog's size, weight and activity level, and is best counted toward the daily food ration. Dogs should always be supervised when given chews, and fresh water must be available at all times.
